Athletic Training and Sports Medicine at Redlands
Visiting Athletic Trainer Information/Medical Resources
2013-14 Student-Athlete Information & Packet - due July 15!
The University of Redlands Athletic Training and Sports Medicine
Staff is committed to providing the best medical and health-care
services to all 21 intercollegiate athletic teams.
Bulldog student-athletes are cared for by a staff of three
full-time, Certified Athletic Trainers (ATC); various sports
medicine physicians; the on-campus student-health center; and an
athletic training aide staff of 10-15 students. Certified Athletic
Trainers are medical professionals who specialize in the
prevention, assessment, treatment, and rehabilitation of injuries
to student-athletes and those who are engaged in everyday physical
activities. The student athletic training aide staff is designed to
provide hands-on experience to students who are interested in
athletic training, physical therapy, sports medicine, coaching, or
athletics. In addition, these individuals gain opportunities to
work directly with the athletic training staff and
student-athletes. If you are interested in becoming involved as a
student athletic training aide, please contact the Athletic
Training Staff at x8399.
The Athletic Training and Sports Medicine Staff operates out of
two athletic training rooms. The main athletic training room is
located in the Field House, adjacent to the Fitness Center. A
satellite facility is located in Currier Gymnasium on the west side
of the building. Both facilities are utilized to ensure a high
standard of care for all athletic activities.
The Field House Athletic Training Room is generally open Monday
through Friday from 10 a.m. to 12 noon and 1 p.m. to 6 p.m. during
the academic year.
