Nick Harvey stepped in as an assistant athletic trainer in July of 2014. A familiar face to Bulldog Athletics, Harvey previously worked for the U of R on a temporary basis when Janelle Kratz was elevated to Interim Head Athletic Trainer in the spring of the same year. He also has supplied additional help on several busy weekends as a contracted athletic trainer and provided on-campus coverage during summer football camp several years ago.
Harvey immediately took on the responsibilities of providing the primary athletic training care for Bulldog football.
Harvey earned his Bachelor of Science in Athletic Training from Chapman University in 2008 and later completed his Master of Arts in Kinesiology at Chico State University, where he served as a graduate assistant athletic trainer for two years. He also gained valuable experience as the Head Athletic Trainer at A.B. Miller High School in Fontana for the past three-and-a-half years.
In addition, Harvey gained experience with the Anaheim Ducks, Olympic Development Soccer Programs, and the San Dimas Cycling Stage Race.
In his spare time, Harvey enjoys spending time with his wife, Heather, who is also an athletic trainer. They currently reside in Redlands.
