Joe Buckley was named the Head Strength & Conditioning Coach and Fitness Center Director at the University of Redlands in late August of 2015.
A familiar face to the Southern California Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SCIAC), Buckley joins Bulldog Athletics after a multi-faceted stint with the University of La Verne. Most recently, he served as an adjunct instructor and assistant strength coach for the Leopards. During his tenure, he successfully implemented exercise programs for all types of student-athletes to improve speed, agility, plyometric skills, strength, power, and flexibility. He currently holds certifications from the National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA) and brings a great deal of coaching experience with the Olympic lifts, including at a private lifting club for the past two years.
Buckley also gained experience in the private sector by running various fitness facilities in Southern California and Bend, Oregon.
After attending Merced College, he transferred to La Verne as a two-year baseball student-athlete. He completed his Bachelor of Science in Movement and Sports Science and went on to earn his Master of Science in Management and Leadership.
Outside of strength & conditioning, Buckley enjoys hiking with his chocolate lab, attending sporting events, and spending time with friends and family.
