Joey Rodriguez was hired as the University of Redlands' full-time Assistant Strength & Conditioning Coach/Assistant Fitness Center Director on August 7, 2017.
Following four years of working in a collegiate setting, Rodriguez brings solid health and human performance knowledge to the Bulldog teams. Most recently, he served as an intern under Buckley during the spring semester, which followed a three-year stint at his alma mater, the University of La Verne, where he completed his Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology. He has gained experience in the implementation of strength, speed, and agility, along with proper lifting technique, while developing cardiovascular fitness and increased stability in the athletes.
In addition, Rodriguez gained his Parisi Performance Coach certification and worked at the Parisi Speed School in Pasadena from 2010 to 2016. He also brings high school football and softball knowledge to the program.
Finally, Rodriguez boasts USA Weightlifting-1 and various certifications in the performance field. He will pursue his master's degree in Exercise Science at nearby Cal Baptist University.
