Trey Routier joined Bulldog Athletics as the Equipment Coordinator in late July 2016. He eagerly returned to working in a collegiate athletic setting, following his outstanding experience at Virginia Tech University, where he completed his Bachelor of Science in Apparel, Housing, and Resource Management, in 2012. During his time at Virginia Tech, he served as a student equipment manager for the Hokie football team, which included responsibilities as the Head Student Equipment Manager in his senior year. As a student, he landed on the Athletic Honor Roll.
Following graduation, he spent several years working away from athletics in the purchasing, inventory control, and warehouse management industry with a third-party vendor that was contracted by the University of Pennsylvania system.
He returned to the athletic equipment profession during the fall of 2015 by working as an equipment manager for the Youth National Teams of the U.S. Soccer Federation, based out of Carson.
In addition, Routier is certified with the American Equipment Manager Association. He is working to complete his master's degree in Sports Management.
Routier and his wife Allie reside in Huntington Beach. Outside of work, they like to spend time with their dog Jax at the beach, hiking, and simply enjoying the weather.
