Redlands' Pratt and Masutani Named NSCA Strength & Conditioning All-Americans for 2011

It was recently announced that senior goalkeeper Charles Pratt IV and senior catcher Kai Masutani of the University of Redlands earned All-America honors from the National Strength & Conditioning Association (NSCA) for their commitment and success in the weight room.

A fierce competitor, Masutani brings a relentless work ethic to the Fitness Center. Despite her quiet demeanor during workouts, she definitely boasts incredible mental toughness and desire at every opportunity. She looks forward to her final season with the Bulldog softball program, making it inevitable that she will be missed in the Fitness Center.

Masuntai has twice collected Iron Bulldog accolades from Redlands, while contributing to the three-peat of Southern California Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SCIAC) championships during her career so far with the softball program.

One of the hardest-working individuals on campus, Pratt has been unquestionably dedicated to his weight training throughout his career. Determined to improve himself in all areas of his strength and conditioning, he consistently goes above and beyond what is asked of him and serves as an ideal role model for other student-athletes. Jis work ethic will be missed greatly in the weight room once he graduates from Redlands in May.

Pratt has been named an Iron Bulldog on three occasions. He has been a steady member of the Bulldog men's soccer team that has advanced to the NCAA Championships and won conference titles in three of his four seasons.

These student-athletes are the fifth duo from Redlands to receive NSCA All-America honors as nominated by Head Strength & Conditioning Coach Daniel Aipa.
