Senior linebacker Jordan Garcia (Carlsbad, CA) of the University of Redlands was selected as a Third-Team member of the 20th annual USA College Football Division III Pre-Season All-America Teams.
Following his recognition as a USA College Football Division III West-Region All-Star, Garcia collects his inaugural All-America nod with this pre-season honor. He is now eligible to participate in the 2013 Hansen Bowl, which takes place over President's Day weekend in February.
During the 2011 campaign, Garcia served as the quarterback-of-the-defense by leading the Bulldogs with 87 tackles, including a team-best 54 solo hits, en route to his First-Team All-Southern California Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SCIAC) selection. This third-year captain looks to build upon the team's successful 2011 season, which culminated in a return trip to the NCAA Championships for the sixth time in program history.
Furthermore, senior quarterback Chad Hurst (Dixon, CA), senior running back Brad Crisanty (Granite Bay, CA) and senior offensive lineman Peter Kinney (Newport Beach, CA) all gain All-America Honorable Mention as a result of being chosen as USA Football News Division III Pre-Season West-Region All-Stars. Like Garcia, they too are eligible candidates for the 2013 Hansen Bowl.
