Redlands' Wide Receiver Peter Adams Garners BSN Athlete of the Week Honor
It was announced on Monday that senior wide receiver Peter Adams (Laguna Niguel, CA) of the University of Redlands football program was named as one of six Beyond Sports Network (BSN) Division III Offensive Players of the Week. He garners the honor as one of two wide receivers among the list.
Adams made 10 grabs for two touchdowns during the Bulldogs' 49-7 thrashing of Southern California Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SCIAC) foe Occidental College on Saturday. His 221 receiving yards rank him third all-time for a single game in Redlands history, placing him behind Chad Hustead (273) and Kyle Godfrey (239). Adams' long of 80 yards came in the waning seconds of the first half, which culminated in his second touchdown of the game for the 35-point Bulldog lead.
Adams joins fellow conference members, running back Jeremiah McKibbins of Chapman University, and punter Jeremy Brown of the University of La Verne.
