After a 26-year coaching stint at Riverside City College, Bill Brown joined the University of Redlands football staff in the spring of 2012 as an assistant coach, working primarily with the linebackers. He brings many years of experience at the high school and junior college levels, including an 11-0 showing with RCC during the program’s national championship season in 1989.
His career also includes a one-season internship with the Edmonton Eskimos of the Canadian Football League as well as time with the Fresno State staff during the 2005 East-West College All-Star Game in Honolulu, HI.
Brown began his coaching career as the defensive coordinator at Norco High School.
While competing for the Broncos, Brown earned a Bachelor of Science from Cal Poly Pomona. He later went on to complete three master’s degrees from Azusa Pacific University. He attended Mater Dei High School and competed in football as a linebacker, helping the Monarchs to a CIF championship during his junior year.
Hailing from Riverside, Brown and his wife, Karen, have two children and five grandchildren.
