Bulldog Men’s Golf Garners National Acclaim in Latest Golfstat, Golf World/Nike Rankings

The University of Redlands men's golf team gained prominence in the most recent release of the Golfstat and Golf World/Nike national rankings, according to announcements made by Golfstat and Golf World, respectively, Wednesday afternoon.

The Bulldogs maintained their No. 7 ranking in the Golfstat NCAA Division III Head-to-Head Standings and moved up to No. 8 in the Golf World/Nike NCAA Division III Coaches Top-25 Poll.

Redlands placed second at the 2010 Southern California Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SCIAC) 36-hole Championship on Monday and wound up second overall in the final SCIAC standings. The Maroon and Gray, which has competed at the NCAA Division III Men's Golf Championships eight of the past 10 years, now awaits a potential at-large bid into the 2010 NCAA Division III Men's Golf Championships. The field will be released on Monday (May 3). This year's NCAA Championships are hosted by Elizabethtown College (PA) and will be held at the Hershey Country Club East Course and the Hershey Links in Hershey, PA, from May 11 through May 14.
