Redlands Men's Golf Team Honored with GCAA Academic Award
It was announced on Wednesday that the University of Redlands men's golf program landed among the Golf Coaches Association of America (GCAA) All-Academic Teams after the players combined efforts in the classroom to exceed the minimum cumulative 3.0 GPA in 2011-12.
A total of 124 programs from NCAA Division I, II and III, NAIA, and NJCAA institutions qualified for the All-Academic Team status. Of all of the deserving teams, Redlands joined 26 fellow Division III programs in earning the illustrious academic recognition.
This team award follows the highly successful season on the golf course for the men's program, which culminated in a fifth-place showing at the NCAA Division III Men's Golf Championships.
