Redlands Mens Soccer to Host SCIAC Postseason Tournament Final

The University of Redlands men’s soccer team will host the
Southern California Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SCIAC)
Postseason Tournament final on Saturday, entertaining
Claremont-Mudd-Scripps Colleges at 7 p.m. on Farquhar Field.
Redlands, which holds the No. 3 seed in the tournament, defeated
second-ranked Whittier College on Wednesday to advance to the
final. No. 4 Claremont-Mudd-Scripps pulled off a 2-0 upset victory
over No. 1 Pomona-Pitzer Colleges on Wednesday as well, which left
the Bulldogs as the highest-remaining seed heading into the final
round of the tournament.
The teams split in their regular-season series. The Stags won, 1-0,
when the two squads met up in Claremont on Sept. 26, but the Maroon
and Gray returned the favor on Oct. 21 in Redlands, defeating
Claremont-Mudd-Scripps by the same score.
Admission into the event is $5 for adults and is free for children
ages 12 and under. Students, faculty and staff from
SCIAC-member schools can enter free of charge as well upon the
presentation of a valid identification card.
