Redlands Mens Water Polo Stays at No. 13 Ranking
For the third week in a row, the University of Redlands
men’s water polo team ranked 13th in the Varsity Top 20 poll,
according to a release this morning by the Collegiate Water Polo
Association (CWPA).
Redlands also received a unanimous No. 1 ranking in the
CWPA’s Division III poll, and no other Division III
institution cracked the Varsity Top 20. Notably, Johns Hopkins
University (MD) received votes.
On Nov. 5, the Bulldogs downed Whittier College in their home
finale by a 15-5 final. Competing in its final regular-season game,
the team traveled to Claremont on Saturday and defeated
Claremont-Mudd-Scripps Colleges 15-12.
Redlands (24-7, 7-0 SCIAC) squares off against Caltech on Friday at
1 p.m. in the first round of the Southern California
Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SCIAC) Championship Tournament
in Thousand Oaks. Depending on the outcome of the first game, the
Bulldogs will play at various times on Saturday and Sunday as well.
