It was announced earlier today by the Association of Collegiate Water Polo Coaches (ACWPC) that senior utility player Max Taylor (Henderson, NV) was named to the 2017 Men's Division III All-America Second Team.
Taylor is one of 28 student-athletes from 13 institutions to earn an ACWPC Division III All-America award this year.
As a transfer student-athlete, Taylor made a huge impact in his two-year tenure at the University of Redlands. He became a two-time All-Southern California Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SCIAC) selection and, with this honor, he now owns a pair of ACWPC All-America accolades, following last year's Honorable Mention.
With 54 goals and 19 assists, Taylor led the Bulldogs in both categories for the second-consecutive season. Incredibly, Taylor scored three or more goals in a game on nine occasions during the 2017 campaign. Furthermore, his physical style of play led to 20 steals and a team-leading 19 exclusions drawn.
