Bulldog Softball Hosts "Strikeout Cancer" on Sunday against Chapman
The No. 11 University of Redlands softball team looks forward to teaming up with Chapman University to "Strikeout Cancer" during Sunday's non-conference doubleheader at the "Field of Dreams." Joining the American Cancer Society and the National Fastpitch Coaches Association (NFCA), these teams strive to raise money for women's cancer research as well as increase awareness for breast cancer.
The Bulldogs will don pinks socks and the Panthers will sport pink uniforms, making a visual impact for their support of "Strikeout Cancer."
In addition, the squads hope to collect money for each strikeout and run scored throughout the twin bill, raising research funds for the American Cancer Society. Fans are encouraged to drop a monetary gift into the designated pink buckets following these on-field events.
Redlands and Chapman take to the field at 12 noon on Sunday.
