Redlands Swimmers Complete Day 2 at NCAA Championships
All four University of Redlands swimmers at the 2009 NCAA
Division III Swimming & Diving Championships competed on the
second day of competition at the University Aquatic Center in
Minneapolis, MN.
The 200 freestyle relay team of sophomore Miran Terzic (Mostar,
Bosna i Hercegovina), senior Buddy Olds (Murrieta, CA), junior John
Floersch (San Jose, CA) and freshman Tyler Harp (San Bernardino,
CA) just missed the cutoff for the consolation final heat, clocking
a 17th-place time of 1:24.14 in the preliminary heats.
Harp and Terzic both took to the pool again in the 100 butterfly
and held their own against elite competition. Harp stopped the
clock at 50.27 and finished 21st while Terzic came in 39th with a
51.45 time. Notably, Harp posted the second-fastest standard among
freshmen competing in the event at the meet.
Tomorrow, the Bulldogs compete in the 800 freestyle relay, an event
in which they are seeded 21st. Terzic, Olds, Floersch and Harp all
