Redlands Diving Teams Entertain Seven Squads at Bulldog Dive Invite

The University of Redlands men’s and women’s diving teams played host to seven squads at the Bulldog Dive Invite on Saturday at the Thompson Aquatic Center, providing an array of competition for the student-athletes involved.

In addition to Redlands, Occidental College, Claremont-Mudd-Scripps Colleges, Pomona-Pitzer Colleges, Cal Lutheran University, the University of La Verne, Chapman University and Cal Baptist University all sported divers in the Saturday-morning invitational.

No individual or team scoring was applied in the meet.

For Redlands, junior Chelsea Hamilton (Parker, CO) stood as the lone female Bulldog representative and fared well. Hamilton took seventh in the 1-meter with a 150.05 score before placing fourth in the 3-meter diving event (167.50).

Sporting the maroon and gray for the men was sophomore Tim Sanders (Pasadena, CA). He corralled a fourth-place finish in the 1-meter event with a score of 224.15 and also snagged fifth in the 3-meter event with a 188.00 mark.
