Redlands Diving Teams Entertain Seven Squads at Bulldog Dive Invite
The University of Redlands men’s and women’s diving
teams played host to seven squads at the Bulldog Dive Invite on
Saturday at the Thompson Aquatic Center, providing an array of
competition for the student-athletes involved.
In addition to Redlands, Occidental College, Claremont-Mudd-Scripps
Colleges, Pomona-Pitzer Colleges, Cal Lutheran University, the
University of La Verne, Chapman University and Cal Baptist
University all sported divers in the Saturday-morning
invitational.
No individual or team scoring was applied in the meet.
For Redlands, junior Chelsea Hamilton (Parker, CO) stood as the
lone female Bulldog representative and fared well. Hamilton took
seventh in the 1-meter with a 150.05 score before placing fourth in
the 3-meter diving event (167.50).
Sporting the maroon and gray for the men was sophomore Tim Sanders
(Pasadena, CA). He corralled a fourth-place finish in the 1-meter
event with a score of 224.15 and also snagged fifth in the 3-meter
event with a 188.00 mark.
Celeste Faber of Occidental College won both events on the
women’s side, taking first in the 1-meter (224.55) and the
3-meter (229.65).
Cal Baptist monopolized the top of the men’s results as Ben
Wahlman and Trevor Graifman each finished first and second,
respectively, in both diving events.
Both the men’s and women’s swimming & diving teams
host Whittier College on Friday, Dec. 5 at 10 a.m.
