The Bulldogs earned the automatic bid to the NCAA Championships with Saturday’s 55-54 overtime win against Occidental College in the Southern California Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SCIAC) Postseason Tournament final. The Bulldogs are 12-0 on the road this season.

With a conference record of 14-2, Puget Sound finished second behind George Fox in the Northwest Conference standings. The Loggers boast an overall mark of 23-4 and sit second in the regional rankings. This is their fourth trip in five years to the NCAA tournament.

In Friday’s other match-up, Louisiana College faces off against No. 5 George Fox University. The winners of the two games meet on Saturday to determine who advances to the sectionals, which take place on March 12-13.
