The University of Redlands women's golf program enjoyed a successful fourth-place showing at the Embry-Riddle Arizona Co-Ed Invitational on Sunday and Monday. Sophomore swinger Hannah Purdy (Newbury Park, CA) finished a team-best, tied for sixth overall, at 22 over par. On what was a very difficult course, she showed consistency by recording rounds of 79, 79 and 80.
Freshman Amberlynn Dorsey (Highland, CA) showed well in her first-ever competition in a Bulldog uniform, coming in just five strokes behind Purdy in 11th place. She tallied a three-round total of 243 (81, 84, 78).
Sophomore Dalton Meade (Sandy, OR) posted a 14th-place showing after shooting 30 over par for the tournament.
Rounding out the Bulldog swingers, fellow sophomores Tavleen Kochar (La Habra, CA) and Samantha Conway (Ripon, CA) placed 23rd and 24th, respectively. Kochar completed the tournament at 46 over par, while Conway tallied a three-round total of 48 over par.
Redlands competes again on October 15-16 at the Twin Oaks Golf Club for the Cal State San Marcos Classic.
