It was announced on Monday that the University of Redlands women's lacrosse program earned Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches Association (IWLCA) Team Academic honors for exceeding the combined cumulative GPA requirement of 3.0.  

The award follows the squad's historic season that included the program's first Southern California Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SCIAC) championship and inaugural NCAA tournament victory en route to a 16-2 overall record.

The Bulldogs join 60 other NCAA Division III schools on the distinguished list, 16 of which competed in the 2012 NCAA Championships.
