Redlands (10-5-1, 7-5-0 SCIAC) enters the tournament for the fifth straight season, last winning the event as the fourth seed in 2010 against Occidental College by a score of 1-0 in double overtime. The Maroon and Gray advanced to the final by upsetting Cal Lutheran in the semifinal round, 2-0.

Earlier this season, the Bulldogs and Regals squared off on two occasions with Cal Lutheran taking home both victories. In the first match-up, UR fell in a heartbreaker that was decided in the 92nd minute in Thousand Oaks on Sept. 17. The squads faced off at Farquhar Field during the Bulldogs' Breast Cancer Awareness Night on Oct. 12, with the Regals finishing on top, 3-0.

Both programs pack plenty of offensive punch as Cal Lutheran's freshman forward Taylor Will (Santa Maria, CA) leads the conference with 42 points (17g, 10a) while the U of R's senior forward Fionna Connolly (Salem, OR) sits second with 27 points (10g, 7a).

Cal Lutheran (19-1, 12-0 SCIAC) ran the table during the conference regular season and currently sits at No. 9 on the D3soccer.com Top-25 poll.

The other semifinal includes No. 2 Claremont-Mudd-Scripps Colleges and No. 3 Pomona-Pitzer Colleges in a cross-street rivalry match at CMS.  The winners of Thursday's matches face off at the site of the highest remaining seed on Saturday with kickoff time to be determined.
