It was announced earlier today that the University of Redlands women’s tennis program advances onto the NCAA Championships as the second-place team from the Southern California Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SCIAC). Chapman University (11-3) and the University of Texas, Tyler (17-3) battle it out in Friday’s second match, with the winner facing Pomona-Pitzer on Saturday. On Sunday, May 4, the winners of Saturday’s matches will compete for a spot in the quarterfinals.

Earlier this year, Redlands defeated Chapman University by a score of 7-2. The Bulldogs earned split results against Pomona-Pitzer Colleges, defeating the Sagehens, 7-2, on March 29 before falling to them, 1-8, on April 18.
