Two Bulldog Volleyball Players Land on the All-SCIAC Teams

It was announced last night that the University of Redlands volleyball team gained two players on the All-SCIAC teams. Freshman outside hitter Jackie Hamilton (Loma Linda, CA) landed on the First Team while sophomore right-side hitter Jordann Tanner (Vista, CA) earned Second Team honors.

During her rookie campaign, Hamilton often served as a go-to hitter for Redlands, gaining 135 kills for 3.14 kills per game to lead the team in both categories. In 43 conference games played, she also posted 130 digs, ranking second among the Bulldogs, to go along with 13 service aces and seven total blocks. Among the conference, Hamilton landed fifth in kills per game.

In 44 conference games played, Tanner provided the second-most kills on the team with 104 while tallying 2.36 kills per game. She led the non-setters in assists with 25 while adding 45 digs, 23 total blocks and five service aces.

This marks the inaugural All-Conference award for both players.

Redlands (15-15, 8-6) finished out the season on a two-match winning streak and earned fourth place in the SCIAC standings.

The All-SCIAC teams are voted on by the head coaches of the eight programs at their end-of-season meeting. For a complete list of the All-Conference teams, please log onto www.thesciac.org.
