Redlands Womens Cross Country Team Places Seventh at CSU San Bernardino Invitational
Freshman Gabby Black (El Cajon, CA) dropped just less than a
full minute off of her season best, finishing the highest out of
the seven Bulldog harriers with a 38th-place finish at the Cal
State San Bernardino Invitational.
Black turned in a 25:33 time, averaging a 6:52 clip per mile and
finishing just ahead of her teammate, junior Holly Kinder
(Redlands, CA). Kinder clocked a 25:55 time and placed 42nd
overall.
Also scoring points for the Bulldogs were freshman Katie Lebel
(Dawsonville, GA, 59th, 27:20), junior Laura Tolle (Portland, OR,
63rd, 28:04), freshman Bernadette Magallanes (La Mirada, CA, 73rd,
32:47), freshman Diana Munoz (Hemet, CA, 75th, 33:16) and sophomore
Kaitlyn Brum (Parker, CO, 76th, 33:21).
Both the men’s and women’s team will send a contingent
of runners to the highly-competitive Stanford Invitational next
Saturday, Sept. 27.
